Public open space, allotments & community orchard

There will be approximately 3.82 hectares of open space, play and recreation provided at Botley Fields. 

The open spaces have been designed to meet the needs of future residents as well as providing habitats for wildlife, supporting the drainage strategy, maintaining the separation from surrounding settlements and creating a high-quality landscape setting for the development. 

A new village green and children’s play area will be located next to the listed farm buildings and community allotments. 

An extensive new allotment area of just over 1 hectare will be delivered, along with a community orchard area. Together these areas will echo the history of the farm and retain the connection to agricultural uses.
